They are the building blocks for who you will be drafting in the later rounds, and have the highest chance of being your reliable starters. Screw up in these rounds and you are setting your team back big time. You have to be sure that these picks are going to work out and you need to be sure not to reach on players. Just because you like someone as a second round pick doesn't make them a good first round pick.
